Comuna Correcta Terms of Service
Last updated: October 16, 2026
This is an English translation provided for convenience. If it differs from the Spanish version, the Spanish version prevails.
These terms govern the use of Comuna Correcta ("the app"), developed and operated by Joel Suazo Integrasoft Consulting EIRL, Chilean tax ID (RUT) 77.212.314-0, with registered address at Hernán Vallejos 1694, Cerro Navia, Santiago, Chile ("ISC", "we"). By installing the app on your Shopify store you accept these terms on behalf of the store ("you", "the Store"), and when you activate the validation we record the date and version you accepted. If you do not agree, do not install the app or uninstall it.
1. What the app does
Comuna Correcta checks your store's shipping addresses in Chile:
- At checkout, a Shopify validation rule stops the purchase only on evident errors: a comuna that does not exist, a comuna from another region, or an address without a street number (if you enable that rule). The buyer sees a message under the field and can fix it; if their street has no number, they can write "S/N".
- After purchase, the app receives the notice of each order shipped to Chile to count it and flag the ones the checkout should have stopped. It does not modify orders, contact buyers or hold fulfillments.
The checkout rule fails open: if the app fails or exceeds Shopify's limits, your checkout keeps working without validation.
2. What the app does not guarantee
The app only blocks evident errors so that valid sales are not stopped. For that reason it does not detect every address error and does not guarantee that every shipment reaches its destination. Comuna data comes from official Chilean sources and may differ from local naming of sectors or localities.
It also does not cover orders that do not go through the Shopify checkout, such as orders created through the API, point of sale (POS), order edits, pre-orders or recurring subscriptions.
3. Your responsibilities
- Configure the app according to how your store asks for the comuna (City, Address line 2 or Postal code field).
- Test the validation with a purchase before relying on it, as shown on the home screen.
- Inform your buyers about the processing of their data in your own privacy policy. You are the controller of that data and we process it on your behalf (see section 6).
- Do not use the app for unlawful purposes or try to access other stores' data, alter its operation or overload it.
4. Pricing and billing
The current plans and prices are those shown on the app's Shopify App Store listing. Shopify bills you on your Shopify invoice, according to the plan you choose and the orders validated in each billing cycle. You can change plans or uninstall the app at any time from the Shopify admin, without contacting us.
Validation requires an active app plan. If you do not have one, or your plan is cancelled, validation is paused once you exceed the orders the plan includes at no cost, until you choose a plan or the next month begins. While it is paused, your checkout keeps selling without checking addresses.
If we change prices, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance, and the change will apply from the following billing cycle. Amounts already charged are not refunded automatically. If there was a billing error, or an app failure harmed your store, write to us: we may return the amount as a refund or credit in Shopify. We always refund when the law requires it.
5. Availability and support
We make reasonable efforts to keep the app available, but we do not offer a service level agreement (SLA). The checkout validation runs on Shopify's infrastructure and does not depend on our servers. The admin and the order processing do depend on them.
Support is by email at contacto@is-c.cl, in Spanish, on Chilean business days.
6. Data and privacy
Data processing is governed by our privacy policy and by the data processing agreement (DPA), which is part of these terms. In short: the app does not store your buyers' addresses, keeps the records of reviewed orders for 30 days, and deletes all of your store's data 48 hours after you uninstall it.
7. Intellectual property
The app, its code, its comuna database and its brand belong to ISC. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it on your store while it is installed. Your store's and your orders' data remain yours.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or lost sales, including those resulting from an address the app did not detect or a purchase the app stopped.
- Our total liability to you for any cause is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the event giving rise to it.
These limitations do not apply to cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence, nor to our DPA obligations where the law does not allow them to be limited.
9. Suspension and termination
You can terminate these terms at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate the service for your store if you breach these terms or Shopify's, or if the use puts the app or other stores at risk; except in urgent cases, we will notify you first. If we decide to discontinue the app, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance.
On termination, data is deleted as described in section 6. Sections 7, 8 and 11 survive.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will publish the new version on this page and notify you from the app at least 30 days in advance, unless the law or Shopify requires the change sooner. If you keep using the app after that date, you accept the new version; otherwise, you can uninstall it.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Chile. Any dispute is submitted to the ordinary courts of Santiago.
